Wind Mitigation Inspection
In 2001, the state of Florida adopted the 2001 Florida Building Code. This code set forth more stringent requirements for the construction of a new home to withstand a hurricane. This new building code became effective on March 1, 2002 and applied to any home that had a building permit issued after that date. An important service for Florida residents as our homes face high hurricane winds. This assessment shows how well various parts of your home can resist wind damage. With this analysis, you can receive home insurance discounts.
Mold Inspections
Mold is a type of fungus. These small organisms can be black, white, orange, green, or purple and live almost anywhere indoors and outside. Molds thrive on moisture and reproduce through lightweight spores that travel through the air.
Our Florida licensed Mold Assessor can perform a mold inspection as part of a Home Inspection, Condo Inspection, 4 Point Inspection or a Mold Inspection. Samples will be taken and sent to our lab for results within 24 hours and you will receive a report detailing the findings. If dangerous levels of mold are found in analysis, our Mold Assessor will provide a written protocol for remediation.
4 Point Inspection
A 4 Point Inspection is required by some insurance companies before a home insurance policy is issued on an older home (30 years old or more). It covers 4 important areas of the home: HVAC, Electric, Plumbing, and Roof. 4 Point inspections are a tool that insurance underwriters and insurance companies use to determine risk. It is NOT a full home inspection but it is usually required to obtain Homeowners Insurance on older homes.
